Our Mission

The HBCU Literary Review has two central missions.

First, we publish the best literary art from historically black colleges and university communities located in the United States and U.S. Territories.  We publish two web issues per year, along with a yearly paper anthology.

Second, we offer students at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff hands-on experiential education and internships through our publishing program.

The HBCU Literary Review is published by the students, faculty, and staff at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and managed through the department of English, Theatre, and Mass Communications.
